When it comes to the athletic movement there are boundaries that seemed impossible, until 1954 the four-minute mile was perceived as unbreachable, until runner Roger Bannister shattered this time limit on a blustery Oxford day. This week we witnessed another astounding physical feat when the two hour marathon was breached by Kenyan runner Sabastian Sawe and Ethopia’s Yomif Kelejcha.

The Wire’s Thomas Koutis asked Associate Lecturer Kyle Pringle from the University of South Queensland University about the significance of breaking the two hour marathon time barrier.
