Last week Australia celebrated the contributions volunteers do for their communities through National Volunteer Week.
This year Volunteering Australia launched the Australian Volunteer of the Year award, giving the inaugural award to Dr Felix Ho from the Northern Territory.
Dr Ho has volunteered more than 800 hours with St John Ambulance, supporting more than 2500 young people as the National Youth Officer.
