The government has completely withdrawn funding for Invictus Australia’s national sport and rehabilitation program.
The news from the budget came as a shock to the veteran support charity, whose sports and community led approach is aligned with recommendations from the Royal Commission into Defense and Veteran Suicide.
The Invictus Games were established in 2014 as an international multi-sport event for current and former military servicemen and women who were wounded, injured and ill.
