Tuesday, May 12th saw the government release its long-awaited response to parliamentary inquiry into harm from online gambling, chaired by the late Labor MP Peta Murphy.

The response came 1,049 days after the inquiry’s final report; and, with all eyes on the federal budget, it also came on one of the fullest news days of the year.

Gambling reform advocates say it’s time for the government to acknowledge the scale of the problem, and take a public health approach to protect future generations from harm.
